Ok, I lied. I didn’t mean to, but I’m starting back on my quest from mid October. Back on with Styx – Edge Of The Century.
So what has happened in the last 24 hours since my last blog? Nothing much, but I’m in a typing mood.
I have had a particularly stressful afternoon, followed by a few stress releasing pints of German lager. I’m now in a fabulous mood but with no one to share it with. Basically that means that I wanted to continue drinking but everyone has lives to return to, and all I have is season 3 of Bones to finish. And a clean flat (which I’m very excited about). I’m also supposed to be following a self imposed drinking ban, but that all depends on my mood.
I’ve started from the beginning of Bones after binge watching Season 11 and 12, which I found were a little pants. So needed to remind myself of how awesome the series really is, because I have nothing better to do. See, my evenings are generally full of watching Netflix etc because I can’t sleep at a normal hour. Believe me, I’ve tried everything and I’ve found that listening to shows that I know makes me drift into sleep pretty quickly. At least after 2 episodes.
So if you don’t believe me, I’ve tried the following:
All homeopathic remedies going, except those that mess with my medication. No electronics for several hours before bed. Weight loss. Reading. Not reading. Whale music. Hypnosis. Exercise. Other music. Audio books. No dairy. No food. No alcohol. A variant on the previous. Prescription medication (which I’m limited 1 week dose per year, due to other medication).
Seriously, there’s more but I can’t remember everything.
Prescription medication is the only thing that seems to help, for at least 1 week per year. That week is the best week ever.
I’ve had 2 of those in the past 104 weeks. It’s shit, but I’m still alive. I might be sleepy, but I’m generally focused (that’s for the benefit of colleagues).
Alright, enough moaning. Time for bed…
